Riley, 85, of Elmwood Park passed away on Friday November 26th, 2021. Born in Passaic, he lived in Garfield before settling in Elmwood Park for the past 45 years. James was a sales engineer for both Gould’s Pumps in Fairfield and Muller Process Equipment in Carlstadt and then custodian for the Borough of Elmwood Park before retiring. He was a United States Army Veteran. James enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He belonged to various hunting and fishing clubs in the area. He was also the Scoutmaster of Troop 53 in Fair Lawn. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Leogrande), loving father of Christopher Riley & Courtney Riley, dear brother of Carol Riley Quintiere, loving uncle to Christopher Quintiere and Scott Quintiere. Visiting Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Funeral service Friday 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
