After showing that God still performs miracles. God called him home to rest Friday December 24, 2021. His parents James and Naomi Polite and his sister Cheryl Ajagunna preceded him in death. Herie was educated in the public school system of Enterprise, Alabama. He was raised in a military family so he also attended schools in Germany, Kentucky and North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics, Math and Computer Science from Savannah State College (University). He also received Associates Degrees from Gwinnett Technical College in Web Site Design and Development. Herie loved learning and was always ready to teach anyone who wanted to learn. Herie joined the Catholic church at an early age. Later his family became members of John Chapel AME in Enterprise, Alabama. Herie relocated to Connecticut, enlisted in the Navy then moved to Virginia. After several years Herie moved to Savannah, Georgia. He attended Savannah State College where he met and married Sheila, the love of his life. Herie was baptized and joined First Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, where he sang in the choir. In 2015 he joined First Baptist church Gresham Rd. Herie and Sheila celebrated forty years of marriage this year. Herie leaves to cherish his loving memory a devoted wife, Sheila Fennell Polite, Two sons, Heri Lee Polite Jr. (Norcross, Ga), Jherimiah Levon Polite (Savannah,Ga.) Three daughters, Mahogany Rose Polite (Texas), Jheri Leil Polite (Loganville, Ga.), Aherial LeAna Polite (Aiken, S. C.). One sister, Audra Polite Caballero (Jersey City, N. J.) Two brothers, James Polite Jr. (Cindy of Plainfieeld, N. J.), Jeffery Polite (Jersey City, N. J.). His in laws Hally and Doris Fennell, (Yemessee S. C.) brother in laws, Harold Fennell (Tia’juanna of Loganville, Ga) and William Fennell (Yemassee S. C.), a loving sister in law Annette Fennell Debose (Joseph of Columbia, S.C.). Three Grandsons K’Varius Jones, Asan Jones and Kellan Cofield, three aunts Lillian Polite, Annie Pearl Frazier and Ophelia Miley, one uncle, Dewey Frazier, a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Also grieving the lost of Herie is his Connecticut sisters and brothers, Sandra, Janice, Lawrence (Bubby), Michael, Linda, and Cheryl, friends Chris Donaldson and Rex Donaldson, and devoted cousin Larry Gissentana.
