Obituary of Helen M. Scheper Helen M. Scheper, 91, of Monroe passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at home. Helen was born in Carbondale, PA. As a young girl she sang on local radio and at public events, and enjoyed lead rolls in multiple high school musicals. She was a devoted mother raising four children as their dad worked rotating shifts, making sure everyone else was taken care of before worrying about herself. She was an avid reader, made ceramic keepsakes for family, and later in life, while living in Millville, enjoyed working as a volunteer in her church and most recently socializing with Rossmore friends and neighbors. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Robert A. Scheper, parents Francis and Mary (Casey) Moyle, a sister Anna Mae McGrath; She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Christopher Palo, three sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Madaline, Joseph and Shelley, John and Barbara, 12 Grandchildren, and 21 Great-Grandchildren. A Visitation will be held from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
