Obituary Helen Wilson Burnett, 66, passed from this life on October 25, 2021 at her residence in Asbury Solomons Island, Maryland. She was born in Havre De Grace, Maryland to the late John and Jessie Wilson. Helen graduated from John Harris High School, Harrisburg, PA in 1972 and then attended Fisk University in Nashville, TN for 3 years and later graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy and also worked on her Master’s degree at the University of Kentucky. Helen enjoyed flower gardening, dancing and music. Her favorite artists were Prince and Michael Jackson. She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Helen loved to laugh; loved life and most of all loved her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Brooks Burnett; two sisters, Sharon Merrick and Jessica Mack; two nephews, Justin Merrick and Marcus Mack; one niece, Olivia Merrick and a host of cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday October 30, 2021 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. William Garr. Burial will take place on Monday November 1, 2021 at the Springhill Cemetery, Danville, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Saturday October 30, 2021 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
