George Kopischke, age 69, of Toms River, died Tues. Oct. 12 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Jersey City, he has lived in Toms River since 1981. He was employed as Post Master of Allenwood Post Office until his retirement. George was an avid sports fan rooting for his beloved Giants and Yankees. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Concetta Kopischke. George is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary; his children, Michael Kopischke and his wife, Abigail, Laura Shramovich and her husband, Kurt and Lisa Kopischke and 5 grandchildren, Mia, Rocco, Lucas, Carter and Isabel. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Bitetto and her husband, Nicholas and several loving nieces and nephews.
