Gary’s Obituary Gary Dean Clark, 74, of Meredosia, IL, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at his home. He was born May 11, 1947, in Morgan County, the son of Walter and Caroline Boehs Clark. He married Carol D. Ruh on Dec. 18, 1966, in Meredosia and she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Craig Clark and Brett Clark, both of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Ashley Lewis of Burlington, KY, and Drake Clark and Kayden Clark, both of Shelbyville; and two sisters, Delores Battefeld of Canton and Anna Bunch of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christine Lewis (surviving husband Tony of Burlington, KY); and one brother, Robert Clark (surviving wife Shirley of Perry). Mr. Clark worked as a Lab Technician at National Starch in Meredosia, retiring after 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Gary was a member of the North Morgan Water Board, serving as Vice-President, and a member of Boilermakers Local #484. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and running his John Deere Tractors. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia. The family will meet friends 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
