Mrs. Flora E Smith April 28, 1931 – December 25, 2021 Share this obituary View/Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation SERVICES: Thursday, December 30, 2021 West Salem Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. INTERMENT: West Salem Cemetery VISITATION: Wednesday, December 29, 2021 West Salem Baptist Church 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at West Salem Baptist Church for Mrs. Flora E. Smith, age 90, of Richton. Mrs. Smith passed from this life on December 25, 2021 at her residence. Bro. Reggie Manning and Bro. Douglas Manning will officiate the service with burial following in West Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Easterling, Zachary Manning, Dewayne Smith, Issac Luker, Wayburn Daniel Smith, Kolten Manning, and Dre’ Davis. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Oscar Easterling; her husband of thirty years, Verl Smith; parents, Albert and Dicie Burgess; five brothers, Grady, Willis, Earl, Clayton, and Wilson Burgess; four sisters, Myrtle Byrd, Mollie Taylor, Elsie Walley, and Jessie Malone. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Bennie) Manning and Sherry (Mike) Thrash, both of Greene County; son, Darrell (Bonita) Easterling of Greene County; two stepsons, Mike (Sherry) Smith and Jerry (Carla) Smith both of Louisiana; sister, Bessie Walley of Greene County; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mrs. Smith was a member of West Salem Baptist Church for fifty seven years. She was employed with the Big Yank Corporation in Hattiesburg for forty years. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at West Salem Baptist Church. Print Obituary
