Edith’s Obituary Edith Pauline Grice Thompson, age 72, died Monday, November 29, 2021 at her home. Born February 11, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Perry and Mary Parnell Grice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Elijah Thompson; stepson, Ricky Thompson; brothers, Leon Elbert “Bo” Grice, Cecil Edward “Tom” Grice, Rudolph Leon “Hunk” Grice, Billy Ray Grice, Willard Perry “Frog” Grice, and Jessie Carlton “Jake” Grice; and special friend, Elton Martin. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 in Micro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma before the graveside service. Surviving are her brother, Melvin “Dick” Grice of Kenly; twelve nieces; five nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
