PRUNTY, Daniel John (age 62) of Sandwich, MA was welcomed into heaven on December 2, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Rose Porter (nee Frederick), adoring father of Amanda Nicole Schaecher and her husband Jacob, the late Robyn Marie Wheatley and April Rose Prunty. Dan was the cherished son of Daniel Edward and Maria Domenica (Nuzzi) Prunty & is survived by his siblings, Cynthia Nuzzi Prunty of Boston, Peter E. Prunty and his wife, Wendy, of Natick and Edward F. Prunty and his wife, Suzanne of Alabama. Dan leaves grandchildren Kaylee & Keegan Wheatley, Easton Daniel Schaecher as well as several nieces and nephews: Austin E. Prunty and his wife Noel, Meredith A. Wade and her husband Tyler, Hailey M. Prunty, Nicholas C. Prunty. Dan was a successful home builder on Cape Cod, but he was most proud of his role as Dad to Robyn, Amanda & April Rose and later, Papa to Kaylee, Keegan, and Easton Daniel. His family will most remember him for his big heart and larger than life personality. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 10 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Road, Wellesley, followed by Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington St. Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.
