Obituary Cathy Jo Winter Bay City, Michigan We regretfully announce the passing of Cathy Jo Winter on December 9, 2021. Cathy was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. Cathy was born on November 13, 1948 to John H. Resteiner and Sadie M. Resteiner (Bunting) in West Branch, MI. Cathy attended West Branch High School, graduating with the class of 1966. She completed one year of college at Northwood University in Midland, MI. She then went on to complete Court Stenographer classes in 1967. She married Patrick R. Winter on August 30, 1969 and the two were inseparable from that point on. Cathy and Pat were married for over 52 years. Cathy gave birth to their son, Carey Jon, on February 15, 1975. She was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. They moved 14 times, until residing at their current condo in Bay City, MI. Cathy was a bookkeeper and CEO for Patrick R. Winter PLC for 20 years. She also worked with her son, Carey, at American Maintenance and Cleaning Services, until she retired in 2010. Cathy was exceptionally creative. She would sew, paint, make ceramics, arranged silk flowers, and make jewelry. She loved to travel and truly enjoyed the ocean. Cathy and Pat loved to spend time on their boat with family and friends. Cathy was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Patrick R. Winter; son, Carey Winter and wife, Amy Winter (Schaefer); grandchildren, Chase Winter and Anna Winter; brother, Robert Resteiner and wife, Debra Resteiner (Lucas); nephew, Ethan Resteiner and wife, Erin Resteiner and their children, Soren and Konrad. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Tousciuk officiating at Rivertown Funeral Home in Kawkawlin, MI. A private internment will follow at Sims Cemetery. The family will greet family and friends from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 and 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Rivertown Funeral Home in Kawkawlin, MI.
