Gale (Clisdal), Catherine passed away peacefully, at the age of 91 on Saturday, December 4th 2021 at Mount Olivet Careview. She was born in Detroit, MI on December 18th, 1929. Preceded in death by parents Anna and Henry Clisdal, brother Everett Clisdal (Rosemary), husband Duane Gale, longtime companion Rick Schuldes, and beloved son Keith Gale. Survived by daughters, Lauren McNamara (Tim), Susan Moore (Hal) and son David Gale (Julie); 5 grandchildren, Jarett Ylitalo (Marenia), Jake Ylitalo (Katelyn), Joshua Gale, Catie Backstrom (Andy), Sara McNamara and great- granddaughter, Rylee Ylitalo. Also survived by 4 nieces and 1 nephew (the Clisdal family), many cousins and a multitude of friends. Cathy, a retired registered nurse started her career working in hospitals, but later she discovered her passion and real talent, working with the elderly. This was her love and during this part of her career she worked in many nursing homes. At the pinnacle of her career, she was the facility nurse manager at a skilled care nursing home, Century Villa in Kokomo, IN. During her leadership, it was rated top in the country. Music was a huge part of her life. Cathy loved to play the piano, garden, raise her kids, spend time with her grandchildren, cooking and hosting large family gatherings and traveling with her companion and love Rick. She made lifelong friends wherever she lived, from Michigan to Wisconsin, Indiana to California, Nebraska, and finally Minnesota. Cathy was resilient, adaptable and accepting of whatever life dealt her. She always found the good and goodness on the paths she traveled. We will truly miss this special lady, sister, mom, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and lifelong friend.
