Carldean’s Obituary Carldean Evon Buxton, 84, of Jasper, Texas passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 in Sugar Land, Texas. Carldean was born in Hemphill, Texas on January 17, 1937 to Walter Lee Boone and Gladys Violet Clark Boone. She was a long time resident of Jasper and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She worked for many years in sales for clothing stores. She is survived by her sons Terry Michael Rice and wife, Patricia and Gary Clifton Rice; sister, Juanita Merchant; aunt, Audie Inez; grandchildren, Kelli, Stacy, Wendy, Katie and Caleb; and great grandchildren, Erica, Sara, Riley, Ruby, Harley and Mary Rose. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Alan Rice. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in Harper’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with burial to follow.
