Calvin Hardy Wright, 67, of Lenoir, passed away on November 22, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Calvin was born on February 7, 1954 to the late Marion and Alice Wright in Caldwell County. He was married to Jo Ann Wright for 30 years. Calvin spent his career working as a wood carver. Calvin loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and the rest of his family. Calvin will be missed by all. In addition to his wife, Calvin is survived by his children: Calvin Wright Jr and wife Sherri, and Kathleen Byrd and husband Ryan. Calvin is survived by his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is survived by his four step-children, six step-grandchildren, and twelve step-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his two sisters, Jeanette Jordan and Linda Campbell; and one brother, Larry Carlton. There will be a service held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Don Key and Rev. Johnny Tomblin. The family will receive guests at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
