Breed’s Obituary Breed Oliver Mounger, Jr. October 1, 1937 – October 22, 2021 Obituary for Breed O. “Dubs” Mounger, Jr. Breed O. “Dubs” Mounger, Jr. passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021 at his home in Tylertown, Mississippi, surrounded by his family. He was 84 years of age. The son of the late Breed O. Mounger, Sr. and Rita Walker Mounger of Tylertown, Dubs was a graduate of Tylertown High School, the University of Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi School of Law. He practiced law in Tylertown for more than fifty years, and during the latter part of his career, served as City Judge in Tylertown. Dubs was a man of many talents and interests who led a life of adventure. He was an excellent musician, who filled his life with music and shared his skills and love of music with many family members. He was an aviator and yachtsman who loved life on the water and in the air. Dubs is survived by his wife, Dana Fortenberry Mounger of Tylertown, four children, Mary Rita May of Tylertown, Sarah Lea Anglin of Madison, MS, Vicki Ginn of Tylertown, and Breed O. “Beau” Mounger III of Dallas, TX, and one step son, Daniel Warren of Tylertown. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lee Lee Mounger, and grandson, Rory May, and is survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family plans to celebrate Dubs’ life at a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics Mississippi (Hub City Region), Standing in the Gap (donations through Tylertown Trustmark Bank), or the Mississippi Animal Project.
