Obituary On December 16, 2021, Artie Zabel, age 60, was called home and welcomed to eternal life by his Savior, Jesus Christ. Artie was born at St Michael’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI on August 15, 1961, the sixth child of Georg and Margarete Zabel. He was brought home from the hospital to the recently purchased “farm” in the Town of Erin which became the family homestead. This is where Artie began his life and where his life’s journey ended upon his sudden and unexpected death of a cardiac arrest. He attended Erin Elementary School and Hartford High School. He loved the Lord Jesus, his boys Ben and Adam, his siblings, living on the “farm”, and motorcycles. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his sons, Benjamin and Adam; siblings, Barbara Grabosch, Dorie (Eike) Heinze, Herb (Kris) Zabel, Fred (Linda) Zabel, George (Danielle) Zabel. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
