Obituary Abigail Lynn Southard was born on September 24th, 2007, to Derek Southard and Jayme Lesch in Lone Tree, Colorado. She spent her life in beautiful Colorado, taking a few trips to Rapid City, SD to visit her family. Abby’s favorite activities included playing with her siblings, going to school with her teachers and friends, hanging out with her GLO besties after school and at summer camp, going on wagon rides, and watching her favorite Netflix shows like Gray’s Anatomy, Cocomelon, Mother Goose Club, Sophia the First, Johnny Test, and The Wiggles. Most of all, Abby loved to shop at Target and going to Grandma and Papa’s house. She loved anything sparkly and girly, such as party bead necklaces, balloons, backpacks, naked barbies, and baby dolls- she hated having clothes on them. She had all sorts of hilarious nicknames; Monkey, Squirtface, Bug, Babigail, Babs, Abster, Abs, Little Missy, and Peanut. Abby stole the heart of everyone that got to know her. She had a smile that would just suck you right in and a mischievous laugh you would never forget. She had a kind heart and had empathy for anyone who might be hurting or sad. She is remembered for being spunky, full of little attitude and stubbornness. Everyone who came into her path was forever changed for the better. Abby is survived by two loving families: Derek and Rachel Southard, little brother Thomas and baby sister Madelyn, pups Lennon and Lilly, and Jayme and Jeremy Lesch, big sister Kaitlyn and little brother Cameron, Marley the dog, Stitch and Griswold the kitties. She is also survived by her Aunts Liz and Allison, Uncles Joey, Justin and Jeremy, and her Grandparents Tom and Donna Southard, Carolyn Knitter, Jay Snodgrass, Rick and Laurel Lesch, and Jack and Stephanie Schetrom. She also leaves behind loving cousins, friends, neighbors and caregivers, and her best friend Liza. Abby passed away on November 30th in the loving arms of her parents, Derek, Jayme, Jeremy, and Rachel. She is welcomed in Heaven by her Great Grandmas Kappy and Netty, her Great Grandpas Bill, Wilbur and Willie, and roomie George. Abby’s Celebration of Life will be by invitation due to covid restrictions.
