Obituary Robert E. Dodd 81 of Carmi, passed away Friday morning September 18, 2020 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born May 2, 1939 in Gallatin County, the son of William and Mary Ethel (Bartley) Dodd. Bob was self-employed. He enjoyed fishing and planting flowers. He is survived by his sons, Leon (Sarah) Dodd and David Dodd; daughters, Lori Dodd Brucato and Terri Dodd Decola; brothers, Jason and Harlee Dodd; sisters, Shirley Ann Perez, Frances Ann Aldridge, Fern Stewart and Ruth Chaffin. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Robert E. Dodd, Jr; brother, Jr Dodd; sisters, Marie Melton and Lucille Hays; and longtime companion Gertie Browning. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday September 21, 2020 at Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
