Raul Wonderful Sanchez September 24 2020

September 24 2020
Raul Sanchez, known to everyone as “Mr. Wonderful”, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Cooper University Hospital at the age of 52. Currently living in Pennsville, NJ for the last couple of years, Raul was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and was a graduate of Del Tech Vocational School where he studied auto mechanics. Raul worked as an auto mechanic for Dave’s Auto Repair in Claymont, DE for several years until becoming self employed and working with his partners Nene and Mamito. If he was covered in grease by the end of the day, it was a good day. He was always happy, laughing, positive and humble. He loved to eat candy and ice cream (anything sweet) and especially loved listening to Puerto Rican music, and singing and dancing with the love of his life, Teresa. His favorite things to say were: “Just have faith” and “Don’t take the elevator, take the stairs. Enjoy the journey and try not to get to the end too fast.” Raul is survived by his loving and adoring wife Teresa “Tess” Bowers; his sons Raul Sanchez of Wilmington, DE and Jovani Sanchez of Florida; his daughter Peppy Stepp of Pennsville; his grandchildren Nathan and Hassan; his brother Louie; his sister Margie; and his Aunt Elba and Uncle Ramon Sanchez. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Raul “Mr. Wonderful” Sanchez please visit our Sympathy Store.
