Mary’s Obituary Mary M. Favere, 89, formerly of Wind Gap, PA, passed away Thursday, September 24th, at the residence of her son, with whom she was residing. Mary was born in Nazareth, PA on March 31, 1931, a daughter of the late Angelo and Grace (Avati) Murdoca. She was the widow of Joseph J. Favere who passed away in 2001. Mary was employed as a sewing machine operator at former Ideal Fashions in Pen Argyl, PA until retiring. Mary was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Pen Argyl, PA, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Societies. Mary is survived by two sons, Joseph Favere, husband of Lois and John Favere, husband of Dena, a sister, Jeanette Wagner, 2 grandsons Justin and Rick Favere, 1 great-grandson Ricky Favere. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Ave., Pen Argyl, PA, with Msgr. Vincent York officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, only 25 people will be allowed in the visitation room with rotations in place, face masks and social distancing are required at all times. Burial will be held at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Pen Argyl, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
