Marvin Lewis Townsend, Jr, 60, of Seymour passed away in the comfort of his home with his loving wife by his side on September 21, 2020. Marvin was born in Gladewater, Texas, the son of Marvin Lewis Townsend, Sr. and Barbara Hood Townsend, both who precede him in death. On June 1, 2018 he married his beloved wife, Janet Sue (Fields) Townsend. Marvin spent his life as a welder. He loved to be outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening. Marvin’s children and grandchildren were the light of his life and he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. Marvin will be missed by his wife, Janet; his children, Jacqueline “Bliss” (Chance) Sloan, Marvin Lewis Townsend III, Matthew Aaron Townsend; his step-son, Phillip Fields; his 6 grandchildren; and his sisters, Beverly Townsend, Cheryl (Jeff) Herbert, Joanna Guzman, and Melody Peters. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements for Marvin have been fully entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Monuments and Crematory, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN 47274.
