Lester Dean Cole age 69 of Iola, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home. Lester was born on June 1, 1951 in Iola, KS the son of Lester Charles and Erma Pearl (Teel) Cole. On June 14, 1969 Lester married Beverly Jean Powers, and she survives at their home. Lester devoted his life to ministry and his family. Lester enjoyed going fishing, collecting lighthouses and playing Santa Clause. He also enjoyed working in his yard and landscaping. Most importantly, Lester loved being with his family and grandchildren. Including his wife Beverly, Lester is survived by: Two Daughters: Jenn Cole and Ken of Olathe, KS Jennean Block and Mark of Dwight, KS Two Brothers: Edwin Cole and Annette of LaHarpe, KS Charles Cole and Janet of Gas, KS 4 Grandchildren: Megan, Andrew, Briana and Brady 2 Great Grandchildren: Bralynn and Timberly Lester was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty Sprague and a brother Melvin Cole Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be private. Memorials have been suggested to either Lewy Body Dementia or American Diabetes Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
