Joyce’s Obituary Joyce JoAnne Johnson, 80, of Lonoke, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020. She was born in Davenport, Iowa to the late Kenneth and Helen Harrington Staggs. Joyce moved from Iowa to Arkansas 36 years ago. She loved planting flowers or just sitting on her deck, reading a book and watching the hummingbirds. Joyce spent many years working in Lonoke. There was rarely a person that she met, that she could make laugh. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Johnson; brother, Tom Staggs and sister, Karen Sennett. Joyce is survived by her two sons; Lawrence and Ralph Johnson of Lonoke; her brother, John Staggs of Davenport, Iowa; a sister-in-law and good friend, Ellen “Sis” James of Lonoke; granddaughters, Johnnie and Cassandra; two great-granddaughters; along with many nieces, nephews and her very loved fur babies, Spook and Chi Chi. Joyce also leaves behind many special friends and other family members. There will be no services. The family request no flowers, just prayers for those left behind.
