Obituary John R. “Jack” Perry age 80; passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020. Beloved husband of 39 years to Joann (nee Paladino); Loving father to Jake Michaels (aka Tim), Dan (Sharon), Jack, Gia (Brian) Kean, Tami (Tommy) Salzinger, Michael (Diana) and Patrick (Christen). Cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn and Dayna, Ryan and Connor, Gracyn and Michael Kean, Tiana (Johnny), Tyler and Tony Salzinger, Dylan(Jess), Carson, Kendal and Caden, Colleen, Sean and Shay. Dear brother of Bill (Linda) and Carol (Jim) Humble. Preceded in death by his parents the late Carl and Shirley (nee Moritz) Perry. Loving brother-in law, uncle and dear friend to many. Jack was a pillar of the community in Northlake and the owner of Perry’s Pizza Joynt on North Avenue since 1979 and was in the pizza business locally since 1963. He donated his time to the Leyden Bears Youth Football, Franklin Park Jets Youth Hockey and played a key role in starting the Leyden Eagles High School Hockey Club. Jack attended East Leyden High School in Franklin Park and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The Walton School of Commerce. He played semi-pro football for the Elmhurst Travelers and was inducted into the Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. There will be a Memorial & Celebration of Life held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Itasca Country Club – 400 East Orchard Street, Itasca.
