Nelson, age 86, of Casey, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Guthrie County Hospital, in Guthrie Center, IA. Open visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Casey, IA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. also on Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Casey, IA. Burial will be in Dalmanutha Cemetery, north of Casey. Per Janet’s wishes, memorials may be directed to the family, and will be designated at a later date Janet is survived by her husband, Verdell Nelson of Casey; son, Terry (Cathy) Nelson of Casey; daughter, Lisa (Bryan) Hansen of Guthrie Center, IA; four grandkids; one great-grandkid; two sisters, Mary (John) Toft and Beverly (Ronnie) Juelsgaard ***Full obituary will be published when created.
