Vernon, IN, passed away September 18, 2020, at her home. She was born April 28, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late John and Edith (Yates) Gross. Bonnie worked on the assembly line at Whirlpool for 13 years. She was a member of the Eagles. Bonnie enjoyed reading, traveling and playing BINGO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Thomas; sister, Juanita Russell; and brother, Robert Gross. She is survived by her son, Jamey Thomas (Robin); grandchildren, Kayla Folz (Gage), Derek Thomas, Josh Goodwin (Jesse), Rebekah Thompson and Brandon Geary; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sister, Carolyn Coburn. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN, with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time on Friday at the funeral home. Due to the national health crisis, masks are required and social distancing should be observed.
