Beverly’s Obituary Memorial Services for Beverly Utsey will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at New Testament Ministries #2 in Rayne, LA at 11 AM. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and very special friend Beverly Ann Anderson of Rayne, LA gained her wings at the age of 58 on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 4:12 AM in Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Beverly was born December 24, 1961 at Park Place Hospital in Port Arthur, TX to Shirley Anderson and Vorise (Addline) Gums who preceded her in death along with her brother Alton Adams. Beverly accepted Christ at an early age joining Rock Island Baptist Church in Port Arthur, TX under the leadership of Pastor Briscoe later becoming a member of New Testament Ministry II under the leadership of Pastor Mary Ann Cole. She was an alumni, Class of 1980, Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, TX where she loved playing volleyball with her fellow lifelong teammates and best friends. After high school Beverly attended Remington College studying Medical Billing and Coding receiving her diploma in 2005. Beverly gained her wings. Left to cherish her memories are daughters Shante (Teneshia) Anderson and Britney (Kenneth) Dejean; grandchildren Avery C. Bashay and Makenzi B. Bashay; three step grandchildren; one sister Debra (Alfred) Kelly; one uncle Albert (Geraldine) Anderson; one aunt Eva M. Anderson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.
