Aletha’s Obituary Aletha E. McCammon Aletha E. McCammon, 102, of Bangor, PA passed away Saturday, September 5th, at Slate Belt Health and Rehab. Center. Aletha was born in Bangor, PA on November 28, 1917, a daughter of the late Albert and Rosa (Betz) McFall. She was the wife of the late Harold P. McCammon who passed away in 1971. Aletha was employed as a clerk at the former G.C. Murphy 5&10 Store in Bangor, PA, until retiring in 1980. Prior to that, she was employed at the former Julius Kayser Silk Mill of Bangor, and the former W.T. Grant Store of Bangor. She was a 1935 graduate of Bangor High School. Aletha was a member of the Slate Belt Senior Citizens. Aletha was a member of First United Evangelical Congregational Church in Bangor, PA, where she was a member of the Everready Sunday School Class. Aletha is survived by a nephew William F. Jory II, great-niece Rebecca Spleader, wife of Frank, and a great-nephew Nathan Jory. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah McFall and Arvilla Jory, and a brother, Walter McFall. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 1:30 PM at St. John’s Cemetery Bangor, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Bangor, PA.
