Beverly Jean “Edwards” Kyger, 74, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Beverly was born August 10, 1946 in Carthage to Everett L. and Jeanette M. “Burnette” Edwards. She was a CNA Nurse at Spring River Christian Village and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Carthage. Beverly and her husband sang at many area churches sharing their ministry in song. Beverly was united in marriage to Gary Kyger on February 6, 2016 at Hilldale Baptist Church in Neosho; he survives. Beverly is also survived by one daughter, Michelle L. “McNary” Peak and husband Alan of Springfield, MO; two grandchildren, Christopher Peak of St. Charles, MO and Lauren Peak of Overland Park, KS; along with many nieces and nephews in the area. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19th at Ulmer Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20th at Calvary Baptist Church, 528 E. 13th St. in Carthage. Burial will be at Dudman Springs Cemetery east of Carthage. Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
