Thelma Joyce Whitus McQueen, born December 23, 1933 in Rains County, Texas to George Whitus and Ruby Faye Northcutt Whitus. She went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2020 She married Thomas William McQueen on August 21, 1951 She is preceded in death by her parents George and Ruby Whitus, her loving husband of 62 years Thomas McQueen, two beautiful daughters, Donna Louise Elmore and LaWanda Joyce Riddle, one precious granddaughter, Misty Eileen White; sister, Judy Faye Whitus, two brothers Jimmy Charles Whitus and John Kenneth Whitus, Left to cherish her memories are two sons Larry and wife Ava of Hawkins, Texas, and Mike and wife Susan of Quitman, Texas; one daughter Melanie and husband Mitchell White of Mineola, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Wendy Jones, Gena von Reyn, Casey Ferguson, John McQueen, Lee Ann Willingham, Coy Sewell, Cody Riddle, Ashley Kratzmayer, Jody Elmore, Kayla Joslin, Amy Young, and Brittany White Foster; twenty-six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery in Yantis, Texas.
