Meryl Leona Locke, 88, Wildwood, Florida went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2020 in Lady Lake, Florida. Meryl was born on February 17, 1932 in Oxford, Florida to her parents Manning Ulee Bowman and Gladys Irene Teboe. She was a lifelong resident of Wildwood and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Meryl was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford, Florida and when she was still able had volunteered cooking for her church family during special events. She loved to cook for her family, keep her home clean and enjoyed working in her garden while she was still able to work outside. Meryl loved to be surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving son: Gordon Tillman and his wife Linda of Wildwood, Florida; a brother: Augie Bowman of Oxford, FL; four granddaughters: Lindsey Watson, Melody Colyer, Monica Dasher and Nicole Tillman; a grandson: Jeremy Tillman and many loving great-grandchildren. Meryl was also survived by her late husband Perry Locke’s children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Carl H. Tillman, Jr., two husbands, Carl H. Tillman, Sr. and Perry Locke; a sister, Sharon Bowman and a brother, Melvin Bowman. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 2:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida with visitation to take place prior to the Funeral Service from 1:00PM till the hour of service.
