Octavia Singleton July 28, 1988 – June 04, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook OCTAVIA VANITY CHERRY SINGLETON was born in New York City on July 28th, 1988 to Mr. John Singleton and the late Barbara Singleton (née Nicholson). Octavia was a very bright child. She was inquisitive, friendly, funny and a joy to be around. Octavia attended schools throughout New York City and graduated from the prestigious A. Philip Randolph High School in Harlem. Octavia loved to dance, joke around and just have fun with her friends and family. She had an abundance of friends who adored her. Octavia was known to keep it real and that authenticity is what people loved the most about her. Octavia is survived by: her two children, Kazhmir and Hayden; her partner, Charles; her father, John Singleton and step-mother, Vivian Singleton; her sisters, LaTisha (Sean) and Kenya (Marty); brothers, Steven, John (Christine), Jacques, Karriem (Nicole), and Warith (Samantha); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Octavia is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Barbara.
