Jerry Ernest Williams peacefully completed his mortal life on Sunday, June 7, 2020 while in the care of the veterans home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry was born on December 11, 1950 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. Born to Claire Wilson and Woodrow Ernest Williams. He was raised on the family farm north of Rupert, Idaho where his dad, Woodrow, drew a farm as part of the Homestead Act. Jerry went to school in Idaho and Utah where he graduated from Duchesne High School in Utah, while his mother and father worked for the government helping build the starvation dam. After graduation Jerry went to trade school in Utah to be a diesel mechanic. He was drafted into the army and served in the Vietnam war. After serving two Tours of duty he returned home and worked as a medical lab technician for several years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. At the time of his death his nurses reported to the family that they loved serving Jerry because he was so kind. He is survived by his siblings. A brother, Robert Lane and (Maren) Williams in Salt Lake City, Utah A sister LouAnn (Randy)Brady in Cary, North Carolina. And a sister Ileen (David) Coats in Rupert, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents , Woodrow and Claire Williams. His internment will be at the Rupert cemetery with a graveside service at 1:00 PM. On Saturday, June 14. Bishop Samuel Crane of the Acequia 1st Ward, will officiate.
