Her educational studies in Houston, Tx, resulted in a High School Diploma from Phillis Wheatley High School, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas Southern University and a Master of Elementary Education from Prairie View A&M University. Her degree paved the way for a career as an educator in North Forest ISD for nearly 40 years. A marriage to Leoniza Sampson took place on, March 26, 1964, in, Houston, Tx. They have 1 biological daughter, Tanya Sereal (Sander Sereal). She also became a beloved mother figure to 8 children through a close friendship with Deloris Hopes: Carla Adams (Richard-Deceased), Roosevelt Hopes Jr. (Jennifer), Rhonda Lewis-Deceased (Paul), Ronald Hopes (Denise), Derick Hopes (Donique), Donnita Mohamed (Mohamed), Myron Hopes and Kawana Lupoe (Kenneth). At an early age Jeraldine dedicated her life to a Christ and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She later became a member of Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church until she was called home on, May 23, 2020. Before she transitioned to her heavenly home Jeraldine partner with Redefined Ministries, November, 2018. Her partnership was birthed through her gift of hospitality. Jeraldine lived her life loving and giving to those that were in need. Even until the end of her earthly days, Jeraldine was part of feeding the homeless communities and furnishing homes for adopted families. She leaves behind her sisters Sandra Baylor, Karen Green and daughter Tanya Sereal (Sanders), her grandchildren Erockney Houston (Ashlee), Ashley Houston (Anthony) and great grandchild Ephriam Houston. She also leaves behind extended family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Dave Funeral Home and Crematorium 2103 Cypress Landing RD.
