Ida Louise’s Obituary Ida Louise Walters, 83, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Friday, June 5, 2020 at Laurel Wood Community Living Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Friday, January 15, 1937 in Smith County, Mississippi. Graveside Service will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Summerland Baptist Church Cemetery and the burial will follow in Summerland Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Andy Pittman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564 Louise was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Rudolph Walters; parents, A.B. and Henrietta Jordan; brother, Mitchell Jordan; sisters, Betty Henderson, Sarah Catherine Olds. Survivors include her four children, Jackie Walters (Rachel), Johnny Walters (Vickie), Joan Johnston (Timmy), James Walters (Melanie); ten grandchildren, Joseph Walters (Ginger), Jacob Walters (Jennie), Josh Walters (Dianne), Jonathan Walters (Erica), Jessica Reynolds (Judd), Jason Johnston (Kristen), Justin Johnston, Jocelyn Johnston, M.J. West (Travis), and Jordan Walters (Katie); a host of great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Jordan (Sarah). Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
