Florence Irene Hazlett, 92, of Glen Dale, WV, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at home. She was born September 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Fetty) Stackpole. Irene was homemaker most of her life, but held jobs with Louis Marx Toys, Moundsville Lumber and First National Bank in New Martinsville, WV. She was known for being a loving and caring woman, always taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis C. Hazlett (1995), her sister, Edith Starkey and her brother, Carl Stackpole. Irene is survived by her two children, Mike Hazlett of Glen Dale, WV and Loretta Wallace (Craig Guenther) of Hamilton, OH; two grandchildren, Jenny (Jarrett) Blake and Ethan Hazlett and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 11 am until time of services at 1:30 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 114 Marshall St. Interment will be held at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
