The graveside services will be Saturday May 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem cemetery, Rev. Albert Shaw officiating. Sally Ellis Smith is the daughter of George Ellis and Sudie Mae Thames. She leave in memory two sons: M. C. Smith Jr. , David Patrick Smith; three daughters: Regina Smith, Catherine Smith, and Teresa J. Smith. She leave in memory a brother Andy Ellis, a sister Georgia Carr, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren as well as other family and friends. Please remember to keep the Smith family in your prayers. God Bless you all. Bay Springs Funeral Home Inc, in order to protect the families that we serve, the community we love and our staff, will be following the CDC (Center for Disease Control) guidelines for crowds/gatherings. The CDC reduced the maximum number of people allowed in any crowd or gathering from 50 people, down to 10 people. Due to the Coronavirus disease/Covid-19, the service has been restricted to immediate family and selected, extended family members only. Working together with the family, and because of the CDC’s reduction of crowd size, the viewing prior to funeral service will also be restricted in size and scope. All attendees will also be expected to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. This means you should not be closer than six feet (6ft) to any other person in attendance, there should also be no customary handshaking or hugging. This is for your safety. This is for the safety of the family. This is for the safety of everyone we will all come in contact with once we leave to go our separate ways. We know these constraints are unpleasant, diffcult and sometimes painful to bear. Please remember, the Coronavirus disease/Covid-19 does not care if we understand it; it does not care if we like the conditions we find ourselves in or if we follow the guidelines given, it will try to sicken every person it has the opportunity to infect without discrimination or favor. Please help us keep this family, our staff, our community and you, as safe as possible. We thank you all for your cooperation.
