Obituary of Raymond M. Nyce Raymond M. Nyce, 79. Of Lower Providence, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020, at Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norriton. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Glatthorn) to whom he was married for over 48 years. Born March 9, 1941, in Norristown he was a son of the late John W. and Roberta (Bright) Nyce. He was a graduate of Norristown High School class of 1959. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. After his service, he was employed by Western Electric and continued his career in communications retiring as a computer programmer with Verizon in 2002. Mr. Nyce was an avid bowler and was an enthusiastic fan of Penn State Football. He was a fan of marching band music, especially Sousa and the Penn State Blue Band. He was a very loving husband and father, cousin, and uncle. While a member of Schwenkfelder Church on George Street, Ray was a moderator, a member of the church council, and a Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Olivet-Schwenkfelder Church in Norristown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Jessica Lynn Nyce of Newtown, his son Stephen David Nyce of Pottstown; and his sister Dorothy Nyce of Norristown. He was preceded in death by his siblings, John Robert Nyce, and J. Vincent Nyce. A private service will be held for the family at this time.
