She was born December 5, 1955 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Franklin and Betty Mulligan. Karlyn is survived by her husband, Bryan Rosenbaum; daughter, Lucretia (Kyle) Van Tuyle; two brothers, Mike Mulligan, Richard Bergeon; grandchildren, Sadie Van Tuyle, Maisie Van Tuyle, Aiden Van Tuyle; two brother-in-laws, Jeff (Nancy) Rosenbaum, and William (Jill) Rosenbaum.
