ELLIOTT, Archie L., age 72, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1947 in McDowell, Kentucky. Archie lived in Ashtabula, Ohio for 50 years, and the last six years in Middletown. He was employed for 40 years as a carpenter for Local 95 of Cleveland, Ohio, retiring in 2000. Archie was a member of the Crestview Church of God in Germantown. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid NASCAR fan. Preceding him in death were his parents, Victor and Sylvia (Caudill) Elliott; and two sisters, Gloria Faye Balcomb and Joanne Paige. He is survived by his wife of six years, Joyce Richards-Elliott; three sons, Gregory (Sue) Elliott, Timothy (Laura) Elliott and Christopher (Kelly) Oliver; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; (he enjoyed spending time with Austyn and Wyatt); one brother, Willie (Linda) Elliott; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. There will be a time of greeting for family and friends on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:45 p.m. with Pastor James Simpkins officiating.
