Naomi Mae Shortell of Rolla, Missouri passed away on January 12, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 53. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 5, 1966 to the late Jerry and Martha (Barton) Royal. Naomi was the proud mother of three children. She enjoyed reading, writing and spending time outdoors. She was a true free spirit and never knew a stranger; she was a favorite among her neighborhood children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Naomi is survived by her loving sons, Allen (Kimberly) Shortell and Michael Shortell of Lebanon, Missouri; siblings, Floyd (Debbie) Royal, Everett Royal, Jerry Royal and Ruth Royal all of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Davin Ashtyn Kaine Shortell and Delilah Adaline Kastiel Shortell; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her daughter, Faith-Ann Shortell. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:30PM with Michael Shortell officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 12:00PM until service time at 1:30.
