Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020, Florence Cemetery, 507B Story Ave, Florence, TX 76527. Herschel was born on Tuesday, June 21, 1927 in Georgetown, Texas to Willy and Lorenna Widmer. He enjoyed country music, belt buckles and golf. Herschel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Survivors: Wife, Margaret Widmer; daughters, Renda Washmon and husband Tim, Brenda Burton; grandchildren, Crystal Thompson, Kira Jelsma; great-grandchildren, Christian Crawford, Ireland Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Rendan Thompson; great-great-grandchildren, Bentley Hall, Serenity Knott; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
