Whitney Nicole Martin, age 23 of Jonesborough, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Born on May 23, 1996, she was the daughter of John Martin and Pamela Russell-Ritenour. Whitney attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church and loved decorating, cooking, spending time with her family, and most of all, she loved spending time with her fiancé, Ethan Morelock, the love of her life. Whitney was a 2014 graduate of Science Hill High School and just graduated from East Tennessee State University in December 2019 with her MBA, where she belonged to the Kappa Delta Sisters Sorority. She was employed by Hexpol Compounding in Jonesborough, Tennessee, as the Human Resources Administrator, in which she considered as part of her extended family. Whitney is survived by her loving fiancé, Ethan Morelock; Her mother & step-father, Pamela & Toby Ritenour; Grandparents, Larry W. & Carolyn Russell; Uncle D (David Russell); Aunt, Christina Crossno; Great-aunt and uncle, Janice & Bob Kirk; Tony Morelock; Roy & Sheila Morelock; Her special friends; Olivia Paige & Chloe Lowe; All of her sorority sisters of the Kappa Delta Sisters Chapter; and her special dog, Pumpkin. Whitney is also survived by her Hexpol family and a host of many other relatives and friends left behind to cherish her memory. Pallbearers will be Jon Roark, Damon Barnett, Marty Scroggs, Steve Smith, David Pruitt, and Luke Randolph. Honorary pall bearers will be her great-uncles: Bob Russell, Johnny Russell, Jerry Russell, Jackie Russell, and James Russell. Funeral services for Whitney Nicole Martin will be conducted on Friday, January 31, 2020 in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services of Johnson City with Dr. John Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Services on Friday, January 31, 2020, after 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 1:00 P.M.
