Wallace R. Hickey, 80, of Tallahassee, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Big Bend Hospice House, while surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late George Lucius and Eunice White Hickey, he was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on August 23, 1939. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Gardner Hickey; and a sister, Mary Alice Gibbons. After serving three years in the United States Navy, he went to work for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and later retired as a supervisor. Survivors include his son, Chad R. Hickey (wife, Jocelyn); daughter, Cheryl Singleton (husband, Leo); granddaughters, Laney Grace Anderson and Ally Grace Hickey; niece, Natalie Beck; great-nephew, Luke Beck; and great-great-niece, Braxton Beck. No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice or to the Animal Aid Spay/Neuter Clinic.
