Virginia’s Obituary Virginia May (Asbury) Moon, 83, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020, at her daughter’s residence in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on March 1, 1936, in Anderson, Indiana to Ralph. Becraft Sr .and Mayetta (Darnel) Becraft. Virginia attended Anderson High School. She previously worked at Cascadden’s and Yancey’s Markets in Lapel for several years. Virginia enjoyed the beach, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Larry) Strothers, of Noblesville, Robert Asbury Jr of Anderson, Annette (Patrick) Young of Anderson, Jeanette Asbury (Doug), Lisa (Larry) Morrison of Noblesville ; grandchildren, James, Pete, Autumn, Matthew, Danny, Alicia, Zacchary, Tyler, Ethan and Alissa; and several great-grandchildren. Virginia was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Robert Asbury, husband of 4 years, Tom Moon; her daughter, Pamela Sue Asbury; and her siblings. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday January 11, 2020, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Brent Weaver of Kennard Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 2:00PM, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
