COLD SPRINGS, Ky. – Virgil Raymond Clark, age 75, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, January 16, 2020. Virgil was born on August 4, 1944, in Richmond, Indiana, to Raymond and Anna Clark. He proudly operated Virgil’s Auto Service in Richmond for many years and was a skilled mechanic and tow truck operator. Virgil also worked as a supervisor for Jiffy Lube for many years. He loved baseball and coached several American Legion and Richmond High School teams at McBride stadium. Virgil also enjoyed coaching soccer, sponsoring volleyball teams, and creating over the top Christmas light displays. Survivors include his daughters, Nikki Owen, Vickie Clark, Rebecca Clark-Stehl, and Traci Miller; son, Mike Clark; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sisters, Sandy Carpenter, Virginia McCartney, and Paula Dunaway; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patricia Anderson and Gladys Hampton; and brother, James Clark. A memorial gathering for Virgil Raymond Clark will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: City of Richmond, Attn: Richmond Parks and Recreation, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, IN 47374.
