He was born December 19, 1967 in Yadkin County to Vernard Emery Wright and the late Wanda Kay Holt Wright. He is survived by his children Chris Wright (Kelli), Josh Wright, Travis Wright (Denise); grandchildren, Morgan Leigh Wright, Levi Aiden Wright, Gohan Lee Wright, Dylan Joseph Wright, Mary Suesanna Wright, Kay Leigh Wright; sister Wanda Gail Wright (Tabby); uncles Darrell K. Poindexter, George Kelly Richardson, James P. Craft; a dear friend Wendy Collins; Elizabeth Ladd, mother of Chris, Josh, and Travis. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with burial at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Forsyth Memorial Hospital ICU and Palliative Care Units for the loving care shown to David and his family.
