Thomas Ross Bland April 02, 1939 – January 06, 2020 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation MR THOMAS ROSS BLAND BURLINGTON-Mr. Thomas Ross Bland, 80, of 857 Ross Street passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Peak Resources Alamance Thomas was the son of Ralph Alston and Florence Bland, both deceased, and the wife of Mildred Benton Bland, who survives. Thomas was also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hood. In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by four sons, Reginald Bland, Michael Rone, Sam Rone all of Pittsboro; and Stacey Benton of Fuquay Varina; six daughters, Shirley Bland of Saxapahaw; Minerva Counsel of Durham; Scheni Rone and Teretha Rone, both of Pittsboro; Jackie Harrington; and Anita Rone; two sisters, Florence Rone, and Sarah Kirby, both of Pittsboro; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thomas’s funeral will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 12:30pm in the Alamance Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty prior to the funeral service and all other times at the home.
