Theodore “Ted” Gogets, 64, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Tammy M. Murphy Gogets. On September 24th, they celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Born in Lebanon on February 5, 1955, he was the son of the late Paul & Naamah Fields Gogets. Theodore worked as a printing pressman for Fulton Press in Lititz. He enjoyed coin collecting, horse racing, golfing, fishing, gardening and riding thrill rides with his kids and grandkids. He was a Phillies baseball fanatic. Family was very important to him, as well as his Boston Terrier Baxter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Brian P. Gogets & his wife Melanie of Enola, and Brent A. Gogets & his fiancé Jamie Leach of Jonestown and her son Julian Baez; grandchildren Taylor & Trae; brothers Glenn Gogets of Richland, Ernest Gogets of Lebanon & John Gogets of Richland; and sister Marylou Long of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by brothers Paul & Harvey Gogets and his sister Louise See. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Theodore’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033-0897.
