Obituary Teddy S. Miller, age 49, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 09, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center. The son of Brenda Nash Benfield of Ellenboro, North Carolina and the late Teddy A. Miller, he was born in Catawba County, North Carolina on May 12, 1970. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Dawn McGinnis. Teddy enjoyed “tinkering” with cars and was a fan of the Ford Mustang. He loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Christian. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Teddy “Christian” Miller; step father, Edwin C. Benfield; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Kristie Santos of Johnson City. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Rev. Philip J. Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
