Susan Vuolo November 10, 1919 – January 14, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook WATERBURY SUSAN VUOLO “Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother great great grandmother and sister” Susan Vuolo, age 100 of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 14, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Aniello Vuolo. Susan was born November 10, 1919 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late John and Amelia (Roberto) Petto. She was educated in Waterbury Schools. Prior to her retirement, Susan had worked at Sherwood Medical for over 19 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Susan loved Bingo and was a talented baker, especially her holiday cookies. She leaves her daughter Phyllis Hilt and her husband Wayne of Haddam Neck, her sisters Yolanda Zarrella of Bethlehem and Josephine Lorusso of Woodbury, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a great great grandson and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Amelia Taggett, her brothers Anthony and Frank Petto, a sister Helen Gaudiosi and a grandson Thomas Joseph Agli. Arrangements: Funeral Tuesday 9:30 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial / Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury Connecticut 06708 to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to celebrate mass at 10:30. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours Tuesday Morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
